Business Process Analyst


Job Role

Managing the Business Systems development, analysis and QA. Work with the other managers to define and implement the systems that support the business. Work as part of the Business Systems team to understand, define and implement the full range of business processes and systems used by the business.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • An I.T related Qualification
  • Business Process and Analysis knowledge
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management qualification an advantage


  • Attending and contribute to all Technology team meetings including Agile Sprint planning and reviews
  • Working with all levels of the business, in close conjunction with the Technology Manager and other HOD’s, to understand and/or define the full range of business processes to meet the business strategy.This includes:
  1. Planning, Procurement and Sales
  2. understand existing processes and suggest improvements
  3. Warehousing and Logistics
  4. understand existing processes and define new processes
  5. Reporting
  6. understand existing reports and define new reports
  • Working with the Technology Manager to map these processes onto existing and new systems
  • Working with the Development team to define the system functions, interfaces and high-level data design to support these processes.
  • Planning and managing the implementation projects, both in-house and outsourced, to roll out new systems and new versions of existing systems into the business. This includes:
  1. Functional and User Acceptance Testing performed by users
  2. Pilot roll out and feedback, including super user training where required
  3. Full scale roll out and feedback
  4. Post-implementation reviews
  • Communicating the system processes, implementation planning and progress to the Executive team and other managers in the business.
  • The first point of contact for new requirements and high-level issues out of the business. If required, escalate these requirements and issues to the Technology Manager
  • Running, attending and contributing to all technology team meetings including Agile Sprint planning, stand up and reviews
  1. Managing team members who contribute to implementation projects, for example implementation of workstations in warehouses to support the roll-out of a new warehousing system
  • Relationships with external parties to solve issues and retrieve system information

  • Managing Fraud to try minimize it effect on the business
  1. Putting in systems to stop fraud
  2. Reporting to assist with fraud
  3. Checking internal and external reports that they cannot be used to defraud the company
  4. Having a dedicated team in our Call centre focused on fraud
  • Data management
  1. POPI act – how data is stored, printed and sent in the business
  • Designing and implementing internal audit procedures
  • Check and sign corrective action procedures and assist in planning preventative actions
  • Liaise with executive management to check and sign off documents
  • Be involved in creating reports
  • Dealing with PEPkor data warehouse department to retrieve all starter pack information.
  • Hardware, system and new application testing and documentation of errors
