An easy, free Flash balance top-up
Cash-outs also provide an alternate way to top up your Flash trading balance (or “Flash airtime”). Simply, customers give you, the merchant, a cash-out pin number, the Flash merchant gives the customer cash, and the merchant's Flash balance is topped up automatically with the cash-out amount, free of charge. It not only saves merchants the usual top-up fees but also saves you the time and effort of topping up your balance manually.

How it works: A simple and secure process
- The customer chooses the "cash-out" option on their mobile money app.
- They then generate a cash-out pin.
- The customer visits a nearby Flash shop where the merchant selects the "cash-out" option on their Flash device.
- The merchant completes the transaction by entering the pin provided by the customer.
- The merchant receives a direct top-up into their Flash wallet, and the customer can leave the store with their cash in hand. It's that simple!
Celbux and MTN MoMo cash-out pins
Available on the new Flash App, the old Flash App and Solar devices, this solution requires Celbux/MTN MoMo customers to bring a valid cash-out voucher pin that they have generated on another app or website. The process is simple, secure, and easy to follow.
NFA (New Flash app)
- Scroll down the menu to select the Celbux/ MTN MoMo logo under customer cash-out.
- Enter customer’s unique cash-out pin.
- Confirm the availability of cash in the amount that pops up on the device and accept the terms and conditions.
- Give the customer the full amount in cash.
- Check statement for cash top-up into Flash balance.
OFA (Old Flash app)
- Select vouchers and cash-out.
- Select the Celbux/MTN MoMo logo under customer cash-out.
- Enter the customer’s unique cash-out voucher pin.
- Confirm the availability of cash in the amount that pops up on the device, and together with accept the terms and conditions.
- Give the customer the full amount in cash.
- Check statement for cash up into Flash balance.
Solar
- Select vouchers and 1Voucher.
- Select give cash back.
- Select Celbux/ MTN MoMo.
- Enter the customer’s unique cash-out digit voucher pin.
- Confirm the availability of cash in the amount that pops up on the device, and together with accept the terms and conditions Ts & Cs confirm the availability of cash in the amount that pops up on the device together with accepting terms and conditions.
- Give the customer the full amount in cash.
- Check statement for cash top-up into Flash balance.
R350 SRD SASSA grants
Available on the new Flash app, the old Flash app and solar devices, this solution requires customers to bring their valid ID and cell phone number that they registered with SASSA. There is a validation that is conducted on these beneficiary details.
NFA (New Flash app)
- Scroll down the menu to select the R350 grant (SRD)
- Tick the check box if you have R350 cash.
- Tick the second check box if the customer has their phone.
- Enter ID number and cell phone number.
- Tell the customer to press 1 to approve the grant.
- R350 is added to your balance, give the customer R350 in cash.
OFA (Old Flash app)
- Select vouchers & cash-out on the menu.
- Select R350 grant.
- Tick the first check box if you have R350 cash.
- Tick the second check box if the customer has their phone.
- Enter the customer’s ID number and cell phone number.
- Tell the customer to press 1 to approve the grant.
- R350 is added to your balance, give the customer R350 in cash.
Solar
- Select vouchers/1Voucher on the menu.
- Select give cash-out
- Select R350 grant (SRD)
- Press OK if you have R350 cash.
- Press OK if the customer has their phone.
- Enter the customer’s ID number and cellphone number.
- Tell the customer to press 1 to approve the grant.
- R350 is added to your balance, give the customer R350 in cash.
