1. Competition Period The competition will run from 1 December 2025 to and including 23:59 on 31 December 2025 (“the Competition Period”).
2. Entry Mechanism To enter the competition, merchants must switch from the Old Flash App (“OFA”) to the New Flash App (“NFA”) and merchants must trade on NFA during the Competition Period. Each merchant may only enter the competition once.
3. Prize Details There will be five (5) winners selected via a random draw conducted by Flash within two weeks after the Competition Period.
3.1 1 winner will receive a device top-up to the value of R10,000.
3.2 4 winners will each receive a device top-up to the value of R5,000.
3.3 The total prize value for the competition is R30,000.
3.4 Prizes will be automatically loaded onto winners’ device balances. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be substituted for cash.
4. Winner Notification Flash will notify winners by automatically loading the prize onto winners’ device balances.
5. Eligibility The competition is open to all Flash Merchants within South Africa who have switched from OFA to NFA and traded on NFA during December 2025, and who can provide valid proof of identity. Employees of Flash and its associated companies are excluded from entry.
6. General
6.1 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
6.2 Flash and its agents do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying, or enjoying the prize won in this competition.
6.3 Winners give Flash and its authorized agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless expressly refused.
6.4 Flash reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone, or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reason whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Flash and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Flash.
7. Data Privacy
By participating in this competition, you consent to:
7.1 the processing of your personal information by Flash and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents, and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential;
7.2 the collection of your personal information from any other source to supplement the personal information which Flash has about you;
7.3 the retention by Flash of your personal information for as long as permitted for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention, and marketing purposes;
7.4 Flash using your personal information to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you.
7.5 You may opt out of direct marketing by notifying Flash in writing or registering on any legally recognized opt-out registry. Flash will not charge a fee for this and will implement changes as soon as reasonably possible.
